Commercial Worthy: Bucket Drum Passion In C Major

By contributing editor Ryan Barrett

Street drummers never cease to amaze me. In fact, whenever I see one performing, I always stop and listen for several minutes. Even if I'm in a rush. Or with a large group of people. In the rain.

What I love about street drummers is that they put themselves out there by turning bits of trash into treasure. And watching their passion for music exude through sticks and plastic buckets reminds me of the potential in everything (any everyone) that I encounter. But also, their talent just gives me goose bumps.

I'd love to see a street drummer clip in a TV ad, with a tag reading "March to the beat of your own drummer." The ad would have to be for a company with a strong, quirky brand identity. A company like Converse. Actually, Converse would work particularly well considering the whole foot/marching play.
