Commercial Worthy - Anyone for Scrabble?

By Contributing Editor, Ryan Barrett

"Ok, but how about if we say we met on an oil rig and we were lovers for 50 years!"
"But it's not true."
"It's a joke! It's like a really brilliant joke!"

I joined Facebook during the last week of my senior year in college - mainly because, had I not, I would have never learned the inside scoop on all my Senior Week events. And everyone knows that's completely unacceptable. At first, I found the whole thing silly - the pokes, the wall posts, even the profile (and just to prove it, I posted a photo of a naked African sculpture for my profile picture).

...And then, of course, after a few months all the craziness became an integral part of my life.

But now the site is too much. Just too damn much. Not only is the actual friend/family/co-worker/stranger jumble excruciating, but also there's just not a lot to do on the site besides bother people.

And now, people of all ages can relate to the ridiculousness that is Facebook - which is why the BBC The Wall's Facebook in Reality would make for a perfect TV spot. I think it'd fit in Expedia's old "You Really Need to Get Away" campaign rather nicely.
