Don't see this movie if you are claustrophobic!

One year after a tragic accident, six girlfriends meet in a remote part of the Appalachian mountains for their annual, extreme, outdoor adventure. In this case it's the exploration of a cave, hidden deep in the woods. Far below the surface of the earth, disaster strikes, and there's no way out.

The group splinters and each woman pushes on, praying for another exit. But there is something else lurking under the earth. As the friend's realize they are now prey, they are forced to unleash their most primal instincts in an all-out war against an unspeakable horror - one that attacks without warning again and again and again.

Featured on MySpace, the Lion's Gate and EyeWonder unit fills the page with multiple functions, all crisply triggered with a simple rollover. Anuther unit is also positioned on the same page so you can click on any one of the many elements, be it the Trailer, the downloads, showtimes, Gallery, wallpaper, and truly frightening AIM "buddy" icons!

The Descent banner is a rollover to launch a video, sure to send shivers up your spine. After the video plays, a window opens to feature a gallery of photos from the movie. An adjacent banner sends you to the site which is well crafted and offers scary extras, downloads and opportunity to buy the DVD!

One IMDB reviewer wrote this, The Descent is probably just as scary or even more so before the appearance of the creatures. You'll be flinching at the carnage and even rooting for the survival of the protagonists as the onslaught began. The dialog is kept to a minimum (you will not find any one-liners here) and the characters' actions are largely believable given the situations. The acting is uniformly good and does not detract from the atmosphere.

British director Neil Marshall delivers a fantastic, chilling and symbolic horror movie that was critically acclaimed when it hit cinemas in the UK. The Descent (2005) can be seen as the reinvention of his 2002 werewolf horror movie Dog Soldiers.
