Commercial Worthy: Beatboxing Sesame Street

Beatboxing Sesame Street

greg pattillo.jpg

Greg Pattillo plays the flute while simultaneously "beatboxing," and the combination is astounding - who knew such sounds could come from a single individual?

He is bound to be pulled from his roost in Washington Square Park and snared for his talent eventually... so why shouldn't PBS snag him?

In this video, he flutes/beatboxes the theme song to Sesame Street. The vid of Greg doing his thing is interspersed with short, cityscape scenes of Washington Square Park. Its fresh, urban appeal would jibe nicely with the children's show that often mocks pop culture while embracing it (remember R.E.M. singing "Furry, Happy Monsters"?).
