Men Love Dreamgirls, Too


Who needs an expensive ad agency anymore when the average Joe and Josephine are producing video-mericals better than Garfinkle, Lubars and Montague, combined?

Just teasing fellas... er, but are we?

You decide. Beginning today MadAve Journal Clip Pics editor, Jennifer Nastu, will showcase "everyday people"-produced video gems which may be as good as (if not better than) the ad agency's "official" campaign.

Of course, sometimes they may be "garage-produced" spots not necessarily award-worthy, but at a minimum, are considered no worse than the stuff running now. Either way, the question is, are they "commercial worthy?" Review them yourself as Jennifer will be and vote below.

When the excitement surrounding Jennifer Hudson and her hot new film "Dreamgirls" dies down, DreamWorks Pictures might do well to harness some consumer generated media to help keep buzz alive.


Here, we have a slightly scruffy looking young man, wearing a baseball cap backwards, passionately lip-synching to the song "And I Am Telling You (I'm Not Going)," complete with wonderfully sassy, white-boy head shakes and trembling emotion, plus a "dramatic" switch from black-and-white to color video at a critical juncture of the song.
